My love for clothing design, which began as a means to survive, has grown into a creative ministry allowing me to help women look good and feel good.
Many years ago in East London, I made women’s garments to bring in much-needed income. With only R5000 in my pocket and very little knowledge of fabrics, I opened a small fabric shop. Before long, I moved to bigger premises and God prompted me to start making tracksuits for local schools. A change in circumstances resulted in my setting up a factory within one week and Lesard Sportswear quickly became a successful business. Within two years I was runner-up in the Emergent Marketing Award for the Eastern Cape.
Today my clothing business is much smaller but the impact on clients is huge by making clothes for individual needs and body shapes. I have my own range Lesley Lee Collection in a boutique at home, where clients can browse and fit garments in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. God has blessed me with an eye for colour and design, as expressed through my workshop “The Unique You”, enabling me to teach women how to dress in a way that reflects their unique beauty and personality. My greatest joy is seeing a client look at the mirror and say, “I can’t believe it! I feel so beautiful!”
If you like what you see in my gallery, pop in and see my garments in person. I would love to assist you in finding what makes you feel special, comfortable and beautiful.
